DIY Crochet Kit Doormat Sand
Every house needs a nice, original, and special doormat to welcome family, friends, and anyone visiting. A house’s doormat is a greeting card that attests to the owner’s personality and character.
Designed in Portugal, this project uses Hoooked’s new yarn Natural Jute, a sustainably produced natural fibre. Combined with an easy-to-follow set of instructions, you can crochet a one-of-a-kind doormat that displays your crafting and creative skills.
Natural Jute is a sturdy 100% vegetable fibre, produced without fertiliser or pesticides by a BCS-certified sustainable family-owned company in Brazil. It can be used for a wide range of crafty possibilities for indoor and outdoor projects. Its natural properties ensure a fully biodegradable final product and comes in seven toxic-free pastel colours.
The pattern includes instructions for enlarging the mat if desired, requiring additional yarn.
This project was intentionally designed to be mindful and very addictive; it is worked flat using a combination of simple crochet stitches such as double crochet and double crochet in the front loop or the back loop.
If you need guidance on these special stitches, check out the supporting video tutorial on the Hoooked YouTube channel.
Venture into crocheting a unique, sustainable, elegant doormat to welcome your house guests.
