We support Pink Ribbon!

In the Netherlands and many other countries , 1 in every 7 women are diagnosed with breast cancer. The chances of survival of this disease have increased considerably in recent decades. Nevertheless, more than 3,000 people still die from the disease every year in the Netherlands alone. Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women. Breast cancer accounts for 28% of all diagnoses of cancer in women. These chilling figures* indicate how many people are affected by this disease. Chances are that you have been directly or indirectly affected by this disease.

Pink Ribbon funds scientific research and projects aimed at treatment, patient care and long-term effects of breast cancer. With the aim of a better and longer life for every breast cancer patient. Take a look at the research and projects of Pink Ribbon fund in the Netherlands (in Dutch).

Due to all the attention for COVID-19 in the past year, there has been less attention in the media for “regular illnesses” such as breast cancer. That is why Hoooked wants to support Pink Ribbon in this turbulent year. Being women ourselves, we think it is important to raise awareness and funding for this health problem.
