DIY Crochet Kit Granny Square Bag

Crocheted blocks of colour bring the 1970s to mind, but the truth is that granny squares have been a mainstay of crochet’s needlecraft for many years. A granny square can be made quickly and is a good project for learning how to create a colour palette.

They are versatile and easy for beginners because the basic stitches and working method “in the round” are simple to grasp. This Bag is made of 13 granny squares sewn together.

• 200 g Punch
• 200 g Petrol
• 200 g Blossom
• 200 g Spring
• 200 g Almond

4 mm crochet hook

2x Bag Handles - MA116 (Double Braided Strap Crema)

Printed Patterns in English, Dutch, German, Spanish, and French

You will also need

Tapestry needle

Scissors

Optional (lining):

• Lining fabric
• Sewing pins
• Sewing needle
• Sewing Thread
• Fabric Scissors

Measurements:

Height - 45 cm (17.7 in) approx. (without the handles)

Length - 45 cm (17.7 in) approx.

Each Granny square - 15 x 15 cm (5.9 x 5.9 in)

Gauge:

Crochet 18 stitches and 20 rows for a tension swatch of 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in), in double crochet stitch. If your swatch is smaller or bigger, we recommend using another size crochet hook to avoid deviations.
