DIY Crochet Pattern Tidepool Summer Top

With an openwork textured stitch and dramatic silhouette, this summer sweater is sure to turn heads! This flowy garment is part sweater, part poncho, and is perfect for layering over tops, dresses, tank tops, or even bathing suits.

The crochet top Tidepool is designed by Rebecca Dagmar from Daisy & Dime and is made up of two diagonally constructed rectangles, which are seamed together at the center front and back to create the neck opening. The sweater is then folded in half and the bottom side is seamed to create the sleeves, leaving an opening in the middle for the torso. Decorative picot stitching is added to the sleeve cuffs to finish off the design.

The yarn used for this DIY top is Hoooked Atlantica. Atlantica is a blend of recycled cotton, organic cotton and SeaCell. This combination results in a super soft and airy yarn. Perfect for DIY projects such as crocheted garments! The pattern is available in size XS-M with extra instructions for size L-2XL and 3XL-5XL.

What you need:

• 9 (10, 11) x Atlantica Seacell
• XS-M (L-2XL, 3XL-5XL)
• 4.5 mm crochet hook
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Measurements: See Chart (measurements are for finished garment laying flat)

Gauge: Crochet 20 stitches (tr) and 9 rows for a tension swatch of 10 x 10 cm. If your swatch is smaller or bigger, we recommend using another size crochet hook to avoid deviations.
